WHAT TO EXPECT ON THE DAY

Upon arrival for your brows you will have a consultation with Lou. Lou will go through what kind of brow look you want to achieve and areas that you feel need correcting.

At this point you will discuss colours as there are lots of pigments to choose from.  The colour is always darker straight after the treatment and lightens around 40-50% once healed.

Lou will then do a pre-draw where she will measure and draw on what she thinks is the perfect brow for your face using your natural brow line.  Once you are both happy with the pre-draw, Lou will then complete the brow treatment.  The initial outline is a tiny bit scratchy but then after that you are numbed for the rest of the procedure.

Once brows are completed you will be asked to follow the Brow Aftercare and then come back in around 6-8 weeks for your perfecting top up (included in price). The perfecting top up is to go over any areas that may have healed sliightly patchy and to top up the pigment so that your brows will last you everyday.   Brows will typically last 2-3 years depending your skin type and sun exposure, although most clients come back for a little colour boosting top up once a year to refresh there colour and redefine the shape. There are tips to help you to get longer out of your brows which Lou will go through with you at your appointment or it can be found on your aftercare.

WHICH BROWS ARE WHICH?

All semi permanent brow treatments take around 2 hours so if you can't decide which brow you want, don't worry just get booked in and Lou can help you decide on the day.

Ombre Powder Brows are achieved by placing tiny dots of pigment onto the skin to create a lovely natural yet defined fluffy looking brow.  The brows will last around 2-3 years without any further treatment, depending on skin type and sun exposure. However an annual colour boosting top up is recommended to keep the brow looking fresh and the shape defined.

Powder Brows are the same as Ombre brows above but the colour is heavier at the front of the brow whereas Ombre is lighter in colour at the front.  Full Powder brows are more for those that are used to wearing a heavy penciled brow or we do use full powder brow to cover previous/correction work when required.

Combination Brows - these are brows with hairstrokes to the front of the brow which then shades into a powder brow shaded brow to strengthen the tail.  This type of brow is not suitable for anyone with any oil in the skin as the strokes will just not retain. These brows take at least 2 treatments and may even need a third treatment which is chargeable.

Ombre & Powder Brows are suitable for all ages and skin types, only exclusions are those ladies who are pregnant, nursing or currently on an IVF programme, skin irritations such as dermatitis or eczema in the brow area.  Do not have any hair removal or waxing immediately before treatment, must leave 2 weeks between any facial treatments such as chemical peels, fillers or botox.
